Sounds Good

Enjoying all things musical and the spoken word

COVID 19 Update

Following the current Government guidelines, we have suspended our activities and clubs until further notice to protect our service users, members, volunteers and staff. This includes the Green End and Alconbury Thursday Clubs, Chatterbox and Sounds Good groups, the Car Scheme, Sawtry Man Cave, the Coffee Shop and our Charity Shop.

We will be publishing the Sawtry Eye as usual, though there may be a delay is distribution. The Sawtry Foodbank will also continue to operate, if in a different way. Please be patient as we explore the best way forward while keeping everyone safe.

Thank you for your continued support, we hope to be back up and running as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we will be responding to messages as best we can.

Started in April 2014, our Sounds Good group is available for anyone who enjoys music in any form or the spoken word. The group meets twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Friday from 1.30 - 3pm in the CARESCO Centre. The group have experienced a wide range of music from sharing a favourite track to a sing-a-long session from one of the musicals, from having a go on a range of musical instruments to enjoying a sounds based quiz.

Sessions are either led by group members or visitors on a rolling programme agreed by the group. The atmosphere is very relaxed and all levels of ability and knowledge are represented. Each afternoon finishes off with a social time over refreshments.

There is a charge of £2 per session to cover costs
